Confidence is Key

Did you know that peak performance is 90% mental and 10% physical?
And the foundation to peak performance is Confidence!

Building Confidence from the Inside Out

Though it is important to always be working on your craft through acting, vocal, and dance classes, it is just as important to be working on your mental game.

No matter how much you train dramatically, vocally or physically, if your mind isn’t in the right place and you don't believe in yourself, you may not be able to perform to your full potential - especially when you are in a high intensity situation like an audition.

Confidence Coaching sessions are designed to support you in building your confidence from a holistic perspective, and are tailored to support YOU and your individual journey.

In these sessions, you will:

  • Identify and work through internal blocks

  • Learn techniques to manage anxiety, overwhelm, stress, setbacks, and rejection

  • Build your lifelong mental toolbox with practices from disciplines including sports psychology, positive psychology, somatics, visualization, and mindfulness

Stephanie’s coaching got me through one of the most stressful times in my life: Senior year of high school and applying to MT schools. She helped me navigate self doubt and build my self esteem so I could share my gifts fully and openly in the audition room. She helped me use visualization to see myself nailing the audition before I had even gone in the room which gave me confidence in myself as a human and a performer. She also worked with me on positive mantras and standing my ground and owning the space I take up as a human being. I’m 6’7” and have always been def conscious of my height, but she helped me to see that it was an asset in the industry and it made me unique and special. I would not be where I am today without her guidance and coachings.

Working with Stephanie has been SO helpful for me. No matter what I have going on, she helps me to see the bigger picture and gives me ideas, tools, and resources to tackle whatever challenge I’m currently experiencing. She has really helped me tackle a lot of the anxiety that came with auditioning for college as well as the anxiety that I have even now as a Junior at a BFA program. Sometimes I don’t even know what the challenge is, and she helps me realize what might be happening that’s holding me back or getting in my way. Her approach is so kind and supportive, I highly recommend that ANYONE in a musical theatre BFA program, or auditioning for one, consider working with Stephanie. You will not regret it!

FAQs

Who is Confidence Coaching for?

If audition nerves, lack of confidence, or difficulty dealing with artistic rejection are recurring themes for you, you may find Confidence Coaching especially helpful!

But as Coach Stephanie wisely says, “A toolbox filled with many tools provides more support.” We can all benefit from a confidence boost from time to time, and Confidence Coaching is built for everyone!

Which offering is right for me?

Just like any other area of audition preparation, Confidence Coaching is a practice. This work requires time, focus, and consistency to see real, lasting results. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all students begin with the three session Peak Performance package.

Confidence Check Up sessions are best for tackling specific issues that arise throughout the process and/or continued training after completing the Peak Performance package.

Is Confidence Coaching therapy?

No. While there are therapeutic aspects of this work, Confidence Coaching is NOT a substitute for counseling or psychotherapy.  The goal of this form of performance mindset coaching is to get you mentally and emotionally ready to give your best in the audition room throughout your college audition process, into college, and beyond!

The way I describe the difference between Therapy and Confidence Coaching is this: Therapy is about Healing. A Therapist helps you heal trauma from the past and present. Coaching is about Growth. A Coach supports you by getting you from where you are right now, your Point A, to where you want to be, your Point B.
