Each review includes detailed written feedback from 1 MCA Coach | Submit up to 3 videos per review
If you have filmed your prescreens on your own, with the help of outside coaches, or simply want an extra set of eyes to look over your practice takes before you film your final versions - we are more than happy to review and give detailed feedback!
With the increasing number of prescreen schools and students asking for prescreen review, it takes a great deal of time for our coaches to complete a proper review. To ensure that you feel completely confident before submitting, we have instituted a streamlined way to review and give you comprehensive, tangible feedback.
PLEASE NOTE:
You MUST be open to re-filming if you submit for Prescreen Review. Expect notes!
Do not submit if you are not willing to re-shoot and incorporate feedback!
RECEIVING FEEDBACK:
IMPORTANT: This is NOT a live lesson. The “lesson time” indicates the date you will receive your feedback.

HELPFUL RESOURCE:
Musical Theatre Common Prescreen: We strongly encourage MT students to thoroughly review these guidelines before filming and submitting prescreen videos for review. Not all MT programs follow these guidelines, but many do!

STEP 2: Select a Coach
MCA Students

If you would like your consultant (Gigi or Sarah) to review your takes and give you detailed feedback, please schedule a 25 minute brush up consultation to chat through your notes face to face.
Non-MCA Students
You are welcome to select any available coach!

STEP 4: Complete Booking Form
Please be prepared to upload direct links to your Prescreen Videos.
Google Drive, Vimeo, and/or YouTube links are accepted.
Please adjust video sharing permissions so coaches can access your videos. Access issues may delay feedback!

Why should I submit a Prescreen Review?
Prescreens are NO JOKE! They are the first major hurdle of the College Audition Process, and they are the difference maker between securing a final audition … or having to kiss your dream school goodbye. The Prescreen process grows more competitive each year, so it’s essential to present your very best work!
When should I submit a Prescreen Review?
We highly recommend that ALL applicants receive feedback on their Prescreen videos. 1-2 weeks before you plan to send your Prescreens to schools is ideal (so you have time to implement any notes + feedback before re-filming)!
Can I submit multiple Prescreen Reviews?
Absolutely! We are always here to help!
Who will review my Prescreens?
Our amazing team of MCA Coaches! Our coaches are professional working artists who have performed on Broadway stages and television screens across the globe. As seasoned educators, they have reviewed thousands of prescreens, coached hundreds of students to audition success, + know exactly what it takes to put together a killer prescreen!
What will I receive notes on?
Our Prescreen Review process is designed to provide comprehensive feedback. Notes may include: performance of your material, technical setup (WiFi, sound, lighting, framing), audition outfit, slating, overall preparedness, first impression, confidence, etc.
Please note that we will NOT provide feedback on material selection and/or suggest additional or alternative material.
I got a lot of notes from my Prescreen Review! Now what?
That’s great! Prescreen Review is designed to stretch you and highlight ways to continue prepping before you complete your final round of filming. Consider your feedback a roadmap for growth! Do I have to re-film my Prescreens?
There is a chance your videos will be good to go, but we do NOT recommend submitting for Prescreen Review if you are not willing to re-shoot. Prescreen Review is designed to take your work to the next level, and we hope you will incorporate your feedback into re-filming. But of course, it is up to you!
