Knowledge is power in this daunting and confusing process and timing is everything. My College Audition and Acceptd are excited to bring you a fully immersive, jam packed workshop weekend in Columbus, OH.
Get a jumpstart on college auditions and learn from the college audition pros from My College Audition, the prescreen experts from Acceptd and program heads from some of the Top Musical Theatre Programs in the nation.
We welcome Freshman, Sophomore and Juniors in High School that are passionate and curious about pursuing a Musical Theatre or Acting degree in college. In this weekend you will experience what it is like to be in a BFA program, learn what it takes to be competitive in this process, hear from the pros and of course, make some new friends and mentors to carry with you through the process.

3 workshop sessions with top faculty from prestigious programs
The opportunity to jumpstart the college audition process and get organized
New monologue and song repertoire suggestions
Invaluable Q&A sessions for parents and a full overlay + timeline of the college audition process
Workshops with top coaches to tackle monologues, songs and dance prep
A session to learn the ins and out of prescreen process from the Acceptd Team
A mini mock audition to put your preparation into action
An exclusive tour at Otterbein University with a current theatre student.

Audition Requirements
Intro Video: In the intro video, please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about why you’d like to potentially pursue Musical Theatre in college. (Intro should be under 1 minute)
Performance Clips: 1-2 clips demonstrating your acting and singing abilities. These can be from a recorded production or they can filmed casually in your living room. We are not worried about the quality of the recording.
Application/Audition
Fill out this online application and upload all necessary audition requirements
Application Fee: $30
We strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we accept students on a rolling basis. Students will be notified within 2 weeks of their submitted date and will be notified even if we cannot offer a spot.
Required enrollment forms and the tuition payment will be due at the time of acceptance to the program. These must be received within two weeks of your acceptance or your spot will be released. For information on the programs costs, please head here.
Logistics
Housing: You must have or arrange for local housing and transportation to and from the workshop location. We do not provide housing. We have a room block reserved at hotel 10 Minutes from Acceptd (an easy Uber trip or drive) at a greatly discounted rate. Details provided upon acceptance.
Food: Dinner on Friday night will be provided, however all other meals are the responsibility of the student to provide. There will be a short lunch break on Saturday and Sunday so we highly recommend packing a lunch.
Repertoire for the Weekend: Each student should come prepared with two contrasting 32 bars from a musical and a contemporary (written after 1950) monologue.
You must be available for the entirety of the workshop weekend. We cannot accommodate students who need to miss days or leave early. To review the dates and times you will need to be available, please review the schedule here.

Eligibility: Students must be a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior in High School, or are planning to take a Gap Year.

Sit down in a one-on-one session with My College Audition’s Founder, Chelsea Diehl, to make a college list, get an individual talent and repertoire assessment and make a game plan to be successful in the college audition process + make sure you are prepared for the April workshop weekend. Can be scheduled over Skype prior to the weekend here or in person on Friday April 24th (limited spots available, first come first served.)
