Mock Auditions have been dubbed by families as "absolutely essential" for the college audition process. These days are run like real college auditions and you will leave feeling confident and excited to tackle your auditions. We conduct these in an master class format: meaning you will audition in front of a panel of coaches and the rest of the students participating in the mock audition. An exceptional opportunity to takes notes and learn by not only performing, but watching your peers. We run these in a supportive, warm environment.
Presentation/Q&A for Parents and Students led by Chelsea Diehl
For the first hour of each Mock Audition, parents and students are invited to sit in on a Q&A led by Chelsea Diehl. After the Q&A, parents are free to leave for the remainder of the Mock Audition. Students will be released either at 1PM or 6PM depending on the day.
Topics to be discussed during presentation/Q&A:
- Pros/Cons of Unifieds versus On-Campus and what to expect at each
- What each decision means (ex: waitlist, hold, deferral, etc.)
- How to follow up with programs
- Timeline of when to expect decisions
- And much, much more!
Movement Call (Acting Majors)
Most Acting programs require their students to participate in a movement call during their college audition. These movement calls are typically improv based and are used to determine how a student works with their peers and with taking instruction. We will run our students through a standard movement call that they can expect to find during their auditions.
Attire: Students can wear their audition clothing to the movement call.
Dance Call (Musical Theatre Majors)
Almost every MT program will require students to participate in a dance call. We will run students through a typical dance call that they can expect at most schools.
Attire: Students should come dressed in their dance attire. They will then be given time to change into audition outfits after the dance call.
Mock Audition/Interviews
These will be run like a real college audition. Students will present material they have been prepped on and will participate in a standard interview with the panel of coaches. Each student will receive feedback and will be given adjustments. These are conducted in a group master class format.
Musical Theatre Major Requirements: Students will present two contrasting 32 Bars and a Contemporary Monologue.
Acting Major Requirements: Students will present two contrasting monologues (either two contemporaries, or a contemporary and classical)
